Company History
Founded in late 2003 by the Kidd brothers, Blue and John, InvestorVillage originally operated as a private stock discussion community under the name "BuyB4theRush." Two years later, Hurricane Katrina surprised the country and caused Blue to relocate from New Orleans to Atlanta, where his brother John lives. This twist of fate led to John's decision to quit his executive-level day job and partner with Blue to launch InvestorVillage as a full-time, free stock discussion forum open to the investing public.

In January 2006, InvestorVillage opened its forum to the public and the response since then has been phenomenal. Our community continues to grow everyday. InvestorVillage is becoming the most engaging and informative stock discussion community on the web and offers a refreshing alternative to other stock message forums competing in this niche.
