Novacea going to the woodshed?...

Howie's going to be soooooooooooo distraught.

Darn, shux, goodness gracious.....   Oh, well, that's life.  As Pazdur has been known to say, "deal with it."

Re: Novacea going to the woodshed?...

Can you imagine what Scher should be feeling?  He sells his soul and integrity to protect the financial and professional turf of Novacea.  By doing so, he intentionally delays a life-saving treatment.  Then it turns out his product actually kills patients.  If his selfish act were not so patently and pathologically evil, one could almost feel sorry for him.  But, sorry, no pity from me.  He put other lives at risk in his little venture, not his own or even his family's.  He risked and lost the lives of men who deserve better from a doctor.  Shame on Scher.

Re: Novacea going to the woodshed?...

Provenge received a 17-0 safety vote which in cancer treatments is unheard of.  Based on the safety profile and the findings of Dr Petrylak and the combined OS of the two trials, I 'thought' the FDA would grant an "conditional approval" of sorts based on the terminal condition of AIPC patients.  But they didn't and certainly at the urging of Dr Scher and others.

We did learn one thing..... there are no 'sure things' in either investing or when it comes to the FDA.  A bit more caution would have served us all well financially.  Perhaps we'll be a bit wiser this time around as the interim approaches?
