Pension funds held by a company - Need help If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it. First off I am in Canada and in Ontario. I have some pension funds held by a company. I have been trying to get them to release the money so I can put it into an RSP. At first they were just ignoring my request. They finally stated they would release the funds and the necessary paper work was in the mail. I was told it should arrive within 10 days. That was almost 1 month ago and the paperwork is only good for a month. I am assuming that after 30 days the whole process has to be started again and firmly believe this is by design. This has been going on for over 4 months. Now it is 'we will get back to you before the end of the day' but they never do. To complicate things I am communicating with a managing company who then contact the company. I am looking for advice with who to turn to government etc. This is a foreign international and after the US steel bamboozle I am sure interested 3rd parties would like at this one. Thanks in advance. |
