reporting trades

Tax reporting reqmts have not changed: what has changed is you must "group" your reporting by three categories:
1. Trades where your broker reported the basis to the IRS. (by defintion stock purchased in 2011)
2. Trades where your broker DID NOT report the basis to the IRS.
3. Trades not on a 1099B
You can still attach broker stmts provided they meet the above criteria.
You're asking for trouble if the broker 1099B does not agree with what you are
submitting. In that case, attach an explanation to your return.
