* how much value is there in CNE's natural gas properties and production.
* natural gas production is down almost 20% YOY.
* CNE is capable of supplying 15% of the country's gas consumption needs now. They can fund reserve and production expansion all from existing cash flow. The notion that CNE is trading for close to $4 Ca is ridiculous. Production, reserves and cash flow (balance sheet) are all set to improve for years to come. Colombian gas prices are increasing and should see a floor of $6 Ca within the next number of quarters imo. This is a must own imo.

BOGOTA, July 22 (Reuters) - Colombia produced an average of
888,000 barrels of crude oil per day (bpd) in June, the Mines
and Energy Ministry said on Friday.
The output was down 12 percent from 1 million the year
before, according to Reuters calculations.
Natural gas production fell 18.1 percent year-on-year to 952
million cubic feet per day.
State-run Ecopetrol produces more than one-half of
Colombia's oil, while Toronto-listed Pacific Exploration and
Production Corp is the biggest private player.
The following is a breakdown of Colombia's average daily oil
output. Some figures may have been modified slightly by the
government since they were first released:
