I know the concept of pricelessness is unpopular but maybe we should try.
But isn't priceless imply that there is no sacrifice of individual goods for the greater good of the society? In Hong Kong, there is a really popular way of making money off of redevelopment of highrise.. Speculator would buy one or two condo in a building (a few hundred condos in each building) and they would wait for a RE company that want to tear down the builidng and rebuild a new one on it's place. And they would ask for really hugh sum of money, sometimes to the point that the whole project don't make any money. I think they have a law right now that will cap the price and depending on the ownership percentage, one would have to sell out at the fixed price. Very similar to eminent domain here... I don't think that there is a easy choice between public right vs individual Everyone want something from the society but if no one want to sacrafice, how would a society operate?
