But you have to earn it. Good, so as American's we pay for our heroes. Makes me sick who we have decided our heroes are but nonetheless, that's how it is. So in our case, we idolize Hollywood and athletes. So technically speaking, celebrities "earn" their income and that is their right. What gets conservatives upset is that most celebrities are democrat! Meaning, that we should "spread the wealth" They get on their high horses and denounce anyone who is conservative earning their living, making a fortune. I can guarantee you these "celebrities" have many loopholes when it comes to taxes, many are not even admirable people, many feel intitled to have whatever they want whenever they want it. And yes, some do give to charities - with the exception of a very few who give so much of their time as well, most who just give monitarily, do so for tax relief. So from what I can see, it's the liberals who are the hypocrites here. No President is going to do that. All Presidents are owned by the rich and powerful minority...not the poor majority. They get voted in by lying to the people who can make them President, but then they cater to the people who really run the world. Presidents are puppets. So get with the program public. If you don't by choice you will by force one of these days soon. I work in the film industry as part of the crew. At least several hundred crew people get jobs on these films. Then the cities they are filming in make money...hotels, car rentals, restraunts, coffee shops, grocery stores, gas stations, lumber stores, fitness clubs, sandwich shoppes, painters, union members, truck drivers, taxi cabs, transportation, airports,house and location rentals and the list goes ONNNNNNNN! One film in a city makes millions for the city, state and the people that live and work there. So without films and the people starring in them cities like New Orleans would be so much worse off without the film industry supporting filming there. It has literally saved numerous people jobs and homes after hurricane Katrina. Educate yourself nobody owes anyone a free ride in this country.
