Actually, tornadoes in the US have been much below normal, including a 100 year record low, the last 20 years. As to hurricanes, there were numerous hurricanes during the little ice age, in the seventeen hundreds, that were much more destructive than anything seen in the Carribean, over the last 100 years. Google the "Great Barbados Hurricane", which had sustained winds estimated at 200 mph, and ripped the bark off trees, virtually denuding the island. Regurgitation of pop culture, supplied by the MSM, is a poor substitute for actual facts. Red is correct, in terms of risky home placements. Dwellings multiply along with population, making the chances of catastrophe much higher.
