Another part of my thinking in taking on short plays is that in recent years lots of money has poured into ETFs and there is less stock picking, in general, than years ago. I totally understand that most people can do better with index etfs than they can by hiring an "adviser" (financial product salesperson). So I'm not against the ETF movement. But if I understand them correctly, an ETF isn't going to discriminate against SPLS in favor of COST. That seems to be an opportunity for someone who can choose to be both long COST (despite bricks and mortar headwind) and short SPLS. Long ATVI (which I should have looked at before and will right now) and short GME. The problem with ETFs is deworseification, right?
