I would like to recommend a book which I have almost completed. Reckless Endangerment.
This book is an excellent read regarding the Mortgage Crisis. I did not find it slanted politically which made it more pleasing. The sad part is when you consider WorldCom/Madoff/Stanford as well as the S&L Crisis, most of those individuals were prosecuted. The cast of characters whom all played parts in the demise of our financial system, remain in positions of power, whether it be political or private.
It began in 1989 with James Johnson and as far as I can tell it isn't over by no means. Just remember who wrote the 1500 page Banking Reform Act which was the
remedy for
"TOO BIG TO FAIL".
If you get a chance, enlighten yourself.
