Re: An inconvenient truth. The GAO finds 42% of USHCN weather stations fail to meet NOAA Standards. This shouldn't effect your assessment of global warming for 2 reasons:
1. Even if the station is in a poor location, it's the trend not the absolute reading that is important. A poor location can still show a warming trend over the years.
2. Weather station data is just a small piece of the climate data, in fact most climate scientists prefer to use satellite temperature data which is considered more reliable.
