Re: CRA- repayment plan- experiences?yes, should have estimated the amount and paid in full asap. since they are now charging me interest, this is irrelevant - they want their money now, as i was told "we are not a bank, we do not finance you, you go get a loan or whatever and pay us now" is what i heard as one scenerio. then they entertained monthly payments. now another flip flop to they want complete documentation of all accounts, wills, dispersments etc. next question, if i continue to make monthly payments and get this paid off in the next 6-12 months... are they going to pursue this further over the next 6-12 months in some way? legal action? leins? don't they have bigger fish/problems to fry and chase? i am retired, not well, a severe diabetic, with no job, a $600 a month pension. i live off energy dividends. wouldn't the fact that they are getting all their money and interest in the next year let them leave me alone? i want to pay but i want some time. i mentioned the energy downturn, ndp govt in alberta, and that folks investments are in the toilet. what aggrevates me is in the 2008/2009 i made some bad investments with my parent's money and i put my own money in their account to use up the capital losses ( very large amount) and left it there. they both died unexpectedly within two weeks of each other. i always thought i had time to get my money out in some way/shape/ or form. alas, not the case. i hope this can be a lesson, "time waits for no one", and "do it today!" thank you for your thoughts and ideas.
