Re: CBC $500m Haircut Totally OT
I have certainly noticed that CBC has increasingly become staffed by a prototype I refer to as the middle aged male right wing twit. To avoid being too political (and confine myself to being merely off topic), I will clarify that by "right wing" I only mean noticeably further to the right than the CBC was, back in the days when there actually WAS a CBC worth tuning in to, and I am thinking of those great radio documentary programs one or two decades ago which used to inhabit the Sunday morning space and shows like Fifth Estate. When Lynden McIntyre retires the last of that old gang will be gone.
Meanwhile, for most unbearable current CBC male twit prototype, the nominees, so far are, Michael Enright, Peter Mansbridge, Rex Murphy, and of course good old Kevin. Andrew Coyne would be on the list but he has apparently been replaced by one or more new middle aged male twits who are equally repellent but less memorable, especially since I can no longer stand to watch that At Issue segment.
